Movie Night Format
It really should be noted that I am not a cook by any stretch of the imagination. I am however ravenous beast that prowls the kitchen looking for delicious things to put in my face hole. I have trouble sticking to recipes, and can't boil an egg to save my life. That being said, I love delicious foods. Foods from around the world food's full of fat and deliciousness. The flavors of umami and sweet and sour and even bitter are the things I desire. I love food!
My husband cooks for me every night. Healthy meals that suit our dietary constraints. (He has gout. I have hemochromatosis) I love him for it. He's a delight and he makes the most delicious meals I have ever tasted. And he makes the most delicious meals I have ever tasted. He treats me so well in the food department that I feel that I should do something for him. So I decided on Saturdays or Sundays. If we have the weekend free I will make a dish and a dessert and plan a movie night for us.
This is the format I'm going to be using for my meals. How I plan my meals, is first I start with the food I want to eat. I have a huge backlog of recipes in Pinterest. Then, I pick a movie based on the theme of the meal. For instance, my first meal is bao. What movie mentions bao? None that I know of, but Firefly mentions bao. So I chose this movie. Serenity. Then I choose a dessert based on the theme of the movie and the meal.
I'm also going to go over cost and calories. Because let's face it. I'm fat. I want to be conscious of calories. Also, I'm poor and I want to be conscious of money spending.
So this is going to be the format of the meals I'm going to prepare and the movie I'm going to watch
